Founded in 1991, the National Law Center for Children and Families (NLC) is a non-profit law center which has served nationally as an agent of change and education in the area of child sexual exploitation. Often in coalition with other concerned organizations, the NLC has filed amicus curiae briefs in federal and state courts in nearly all major child pornography cases, as a “friend of the court” in support of laws and law enforcement, or on behalf of members of Congress.
NLC has been partnering with local and federal agencies and task forces for many years, to provide law enforcement and government attorneys with critically needed technology and investigative tools in this area. The NLC is proud to continue this service today through NLC PROTECTS Seminars, featuring experts on child sex trafficking, cyber predator behavior, Internet forensics, technology-facilitated enticement, child pornography investigation and prosecution, sex offender management, basic mobile forensics, and many other areas relating to child exploitation.
To date, the National Law Center has trained more than 1800 law enforcement professionals coast to coast through NLC Protects Seminars.
